About The Role

We are seeking an experienced accounts payable officer to join our accounts team in New Ross, Co Wexford. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the management of the supplier accounts, from order origination through to payment and ensuring supplier relationships are managed. This role is suited to a solution focused individual who is looking to further their career in a growing team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supplier relationship management 

  • Handling the processing of a high volume of supplier invoices 

  • Reconciliation of supplier accounts on a monthly basis

  • Assisting with new supplier contracts and procurement

  • Management of weekly and monthly supplier payment cycles

  • Ensuring the purchasing workflow followed across all operational departments

  • Other ad-hoc finance projects


Key Requirements

  • Prior experience in an accounts payable role

  • Strong attention to detail to ensure completeness and accuracy of information

  • Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in written form with peers and senior management

  • Self-motivated, proactive, ability to ensure tasks are finalised to strict deadlines

  • Hands on experience of using SAGE or similar accounting software would be an advantage

  • Proficient with MS Word and Excel

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
