About the RoleWe are seeking an ambitious and detail-oriented Cost Accountant to join our growing finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for a recently qualified CIMA or ACCA professional with strong industry experience or industry exposure if trained in a practice setting who is looking to develop their career in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.


The successful candidate will play a key role in financial reporting, cost control, and ensuring compliance across multiple sites.

Key Responsibilities

  • Preparation and analysis of monthly management accounts and cost reports

  • Ownership of the month-end close process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness

  • Preparation and submission of VAT returns for Ireland and UK and ensuring full compliance with tax regulations

  • Monitoring and analysing product and operational costs, identifying efficiencies and cost-saving opportunities

  • Supporting budgeting and forecasting processes

  • Ensuring adherence to internal controls and financial compliance standards

  • Partnering with operational teams across multiple sites to provide financial insight and support decision-making

  • Assisting with audits and liaising with external advisors where required


About You

  • Recently qualified CIMA or ACCA (or equivalent)

  • Proven experience in an industry-based accounting role preferred

  • Strong understanding of VAT, compliance, and financial reporting requirements

  • Experience managing or supporting month-end processes

  • Highly analytical with strong attention to detail

  • Ambitious, proactive, and keen to progress within a growing organisation

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to work across multiple teams and sites

  • Full driving licence required
