A family-owned business, established in 1980, NVD was set up to assist vehicle manufacturers in the timely and incident free distribution of their products. We’ve established ourselves as a one stop shop providing the three main pillars of outbound logistics, including transporting, storing and enhancing our customers’ vehicles, prior to delivery to their end location. Since 1980 NVD has been at the forefront of pioneering the digitisation of the FVL industry. Summary of Position:

Due to rapid growth across our Irish and UK Sites we are looking for an Account Manager who will report to the Customer Operations Manager, this role is responsible for the day-to-day operational management of key accounts.


The successful candidate will plan and execute account activities to the highest standards, collaborating with external stakeholders and internal teams to ensure we consistently meet and exceed agreed targets. 


The role pivots on usage of a comprehensive ERP software system, in addition to a CRM system (Salesforce) and a supporting project management tool. An ability to lead work through these systems and supporting processes is a fundamental requirement for the role.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Supply Chain, Logistics or related field

  • Proven experience in key account management within a fast-paced environment

  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills

  • Strong problem-solving abilities and strategic thinking

  • Organization and time-management competences to meet multiple deadlines and work effectively under pressure.

  • Full clean driving license – Class B


Desired

  • Logistics or Automotive industry experience is a distinct advantage 

  • Hands-on experience with CRM systems (Salesforce), ERP systems, and project management tools.


Responsibilities


Customer Operations

  • Coordinate, plan and manage customer account activities and key projects through NVD’s ecosystem. 

  • Build strong customer relationships through regular check-ins, clear, open communication and a good understanding of their needs, targets and goals.

  • Respond flexibly to customer requirements, including attending onsite visits when required.

  • Handle customer queries in a professional and timely manner.

  • Make sure customer issues are raised with the right people as soon as possible and help resolve complaints effectively.


Internal collaboration

  • Coordinate with internal teams and act as the key link, translating customer requirements into operational plans. 

  • Contribute to weekly capacity planning ensuring customer needs are communicated and prioritised. 

  • Actively promote the voice of the customer to ensure the customer’s needs and feedback are understood and considered across the business


Continuous Improvement & NVD Success

  • Identify opportunities to improve how we work, helping to develop more efficient processes and maintain a strong focus on the customer.

  • Keep up to date with the industry, including trends and changes that may affect our customers and the business.

  • Develop a good understanding of Customer Operations, including customer policies, procedures and requirements

  • Maintain thorough, clear and precise record keeping of all customer account activities. 

  • Generate reports as required.

  • Carry out other duties as required.
